We each come from different backgrounds, with different stories and personalities. The best part of being you is being able to lean into those aspects that make you different. Life throws us obstacles that may lead to depression, anxiety, trauma & PTSD, chronic pain & illness, substance use disorders & addiction, or grief & loss in order to create us in someone unique. Using meaning-making, life transitions, and self-discovery, you can develop a sense of self-love and empowerment through approaching yourself from the past, present and future. Focusing on yourself can help you develop a sense of self-love and empowerment that gets you through these challenging parts of life.
I am a licensed and board-certified art therapist and encourage creative self-expression through many media. Using a creative process can guide you through exploring complex emotions & dealing with the stuff that’s hard to put into words. While I specialize in Art Therapy, I know that not all people feel confident making art. However, I enjoy weaving expressive therapies into my therapeutic approach in a creative space that makes you comfortable, while making sure you are getting what you need from therapy. Let me help you focus on who you are in order to find a greater purpose in life, whether that includes art or not.
I approach each individual, as exactly that, an individual. I love to encourage my clients to focus on what makes them who they are and the parts of them that are special. I have worked with individuals from 3 to 101 and my approach is client-centered, expressive, and existential. I enjoy helping my clients prioritize self-care and develop a sense of self-love and empowerment through working on themselves from the past, present and future.
Many people live their lives with depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders, as well as lack of self-esteem and confidence. As we learn what you are challenged with, we can delve into those issues in order to collaborate and create a practice that helps you step into the person that you are meant to be. Living life to the fullest is a daily mindset, practice, and habit. Let’s begin together.
“It isn’t the mountains ahead to climb that wear you out; it’s the pebble in your shoe.”
